From the moment I heard about Brooklyn’s newest all-balcony boutique hotel, I knew I had a fantastic reason to visit the Big Apple again! The William Vale opened just last year in the hip neighborhood of Williamsburg. There is a lot to admire about this five-star hotel, and I am not just talking about their world-class hospitality. Every inch is designed to perfection with high ceilings, custom metalwork details, sweeping views, and so much more. Not to mention Vale Park, which in my opinion, makes The William Vale such a unique hotel property. Set on a 15,000 sq. ft. elevated promenade, Vale Park features rolling hills, shady green spaces, and postcards views. It is such breath of fresh air to see a beautiful green space in the middle of a bustling city.

When you first walk into the reception area, your eyes are drawn towards the impressive piece of artwork that decorates the lobby from Brooklyn-based artist Marela Zaharias. I thought it was a very nice touch that they displayed a local artists’ work.

I was lucky to be staying in a Gotham King Room which, of course, includes a lovely balcony. And what was the view from my private balcony? The iconic Manhattan skyline! Tourists and locals both flock to Brooklyn every day to simply take in these jaw dropping views. And there I was, getting to enjoy it from the comfort of my own room. This certainly made my trip memorable.

My room featured contemporary furnishings that were incredibly comfortable and stylish, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows. It came with a separate sitting area, which I found very useful to do some work. The bed was very cozy, and had a nightlight with outlets on the side which made it very convenient for us to plug our phone chargers in at night. The room also cam with a mini fridge and coffee maker.

I also enjoyed the spacious bathroom and glass-enclosed rainfall shower with products by L’Occitane en Provence. The bathroom was hidden away behind sleek glass sliding doors.

As hard as it was to pull myself away from my precious balcony, I knew there were several more places throughout the hotel to enjoy the views!

Whether you are staying as a guest of the hotel or are simply in the neighborhood looking for a nice drink, do yourself a favor and head up to the 22nd floor. It is here that you will discover The William Vale’s stunning rooftop bar: Westlight. Food is served from five in the evening and I found it to be the perfect place to unwind after a busy day and enjoy the sunset. They offer an elevated menu of bar snacks inspired by street food pairs with a list of handcrafted classic cocktails, along with rare spirits, beer, and wine. We had the Duck Carnitas Tacos and Crispy Potato Skins that were topped with Kaluga Caviar… delicious!

In the morning we decided to try their Italian restaurant on site that also served breakfast. Inspired by Southern Italy, Leuca is a neighborhood restaurant with a wood-fired coastal fare. I hear Chef Andrew Carmellini’s house made pastas and wood-fired pizzas are to die for, and the service is impeccable.

If the weather is nice, the Vale Pool & Terrace is the place to be. At sixty feet, it is the longest pool in Brooklyn and greater New York City. You will find sweeping views here as well which probably is not at surprise at this point! The William Vale really knows how to wow its guests. Directly adjacent to the pool is Vale Terrace, a 5,000 sq. ft. immaculately landscaped open-air venue which is perfect for special events and celebrations.

One of my only complaints is that I could not stay longer. A few days certainly is not enough time in New York City. But now that The William Vale exists, I have a very good reason to return!
Note: I was kindly given a media rate during my stay, but as always, opinions are entirely my own!

Wow, the William Vale looks impressive. Loved the views of Manhattan from your balcony and that pool area is right up my alley. Is the area around it unique and walkable or is it in its own local?
Carmen Edelson
The area around the pool is plenty spacious and easy to walk around. I absolutely loved the views of Manhattan from my room, and especially from the rooftop bar.
Patricia
Definitely luxurious and fancy! This would be a good place for us for anniversary or a birthday, to treat ourselves and a nice change from our regular camping and guest houses.
Carmen Edelson
It absolutely would be! Thanks for reading, Patricia 🙂

Wow, what a view! I could look at that for hours. It looks like a great hotel to stay at; I think I’d leave my kids at home so I could take advantage of the bar and relax by the pool.
Carmen Edelson
Sounds like a good plan to me, Emily!

Yours is indeed a luxury travel blog. You got me at all-balcony! That is indeed luxury in NYC. Plus that huge pool!
Carmen Edelson
I know, the all-balcony aspect was so impressive!

This hotel looks really amazing! I love that all rooms have balconies but yeah I’d definitely want one on the side with those views to Manhattan! Wow!

Not gonna lie this is simply amazing even if just for the amazing views! And having it from just outside your room is spectacular! I can just imagine waking up and walking in my robe or pyjama to have a breakfast with this view. The design and idea of this hotel are very impressive!
Carmen Edelson
I totally agree, Sia! It’s an impressive property.

What a fun, young hotel which really suits this part of the world. We have friends in Brooklyn so this hotel looks like the perfect place to stay while visiting them. Vale Park is so cute and gorgeous. I am surprised at how generous the rooms are when space is such a premium when visiting New York and surrounds.
Carmen Edelson
I know, but you definitely get more bang for your buck in Brooklyn! I hope you get to stay here when you visit friends.

Gorgeous place to stay. It looks lovely and clean and spacious – but also quite spacious which is nice. Those views are pretty darn awesome!

Very spacious for NY hotel room standards!
