Charter a Plane to these Five Luxurious Destinations

Charter a Plane to these Five Luxurious Destinations

If you’re ready for your next trip but in need of some inspiration, why not take some travel tips from the A-list? Find out why the Beckhams love the Hamptons and why for George Clooney nothing can compete with Lake Como. And of course, for the true A-lister experience there’s only one way to travel… Luxurious and convenient, private jet charter is the ultimate way to embrace freedom and all that life has to offer. Charter a plane to one of these five dream destinations for a few days and you will be feeling like a celebrity in no time!

1.  Maui, Hawaii

The second largest of the Hawaiian Islands, Maui is a favourite holiday hotspot of A-listers including Clint Eastwood, Oprah Winfrey and Owen Wilson. If you’re not quite satisfied with sun-worshipping, beautiful beaches and fabulous cocktails, Maui is bursting with opportunities to unleash your wild side. Snorkelling and diving trips definitely won’t disappoint, with a magical array of coral and marine life. Surfing and windsurfing are also at their best off the coast of Maui, or why not have a once in a lifetime experience with a whale watching trip? If you prefer to stay on your feet, volcanic craters, waterfalls and red and black sand beaches provide a stunning backdrop for a hike. Watch the sunset at Haleakala Crater for a vista you won’t forget.

The primary airport on Maui is Kahului Airport (OGG), which is east of the Kahului CDP in Maui County near Haleakala. Mainline flights only fly to Kahului Airport, but there are two other smaller airports on the island, Hana airport (HNM) and Kapalua Airport (JHM), which can be reached by private jet rental. If you charter a plane to Hana, you can easily explore an area of undiscovered natural beauty, where the land and culture have remained largely untouched.

2.  The Hamptons, United States

A holiday home spot for the Beckhams and Elton John, the Hamptons features some of the most expensive and luxurious residential properties in the U.S. With its proximity to New York, the Hamptons is an ideal destination to entertain business clients. If you charter a plane, you can be in the Hamptons in around 45 minutes from New York, making it the perfect weekend city escape, and if you’re looking to impress and win business, private jet rental is sure to do the trick!

Join New York’s high society sipping champagne and eating lobster rolls poolside or make a night of it at one of the opulent nightclubs. There are plenty of top notch beaches to visit including Atlantic Beach, Ditch Plains Beach and Cooper’s Beach to name a few. Just make sure to wear your best bikini, as you never know who might saunter past your sun lounger! Arrange a private jet charter to fly in to Francis S. Gabreski Airport (FOK) for a seamless experience, which is located within Suffolk County in the state of New York.

3.  Lake Como, Italy

With verdant mountains, vineyards, castles and ancient Roman ruins, it’s not surprising that George Clooney chose Lake Combo as the place to lay some roots. What better spot to while away the summer months with wife Amal? The opulent 18th century Villa Oleandra was bought by Clooney back in 2001 for $10 million but is now believed to be worth up to 10 times that. A backdrop to films including Ocean’s Twelve, Star Wars Attack of the Clones and Casino Royale, this stunning location is a playpen for the rich and famous. Other stars regularly spotted here include Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Richard BransonLugano Airport (LUG) is a regional airport located 4 km west of the Swiss city of Lugano, approximately 80 km north of Milan, in the municipalities of Agno, Bioggio and Muzzano. If you charter a plane from London City Airport (LCY) to Lugano Airport, you can expect a flight time of only one hour forty minutes.

4.  Cote D’Azur, France

Another en vogue destination for luxury second home owners, the ever-fashionable Cote D’Azur encompasses Nice and Cannes in the South of France, Avignon, St Tropez and the principality of Monaco. Get your French Riviera chic on along the 115 km of coastline or pay a visit to Cannes Film Festival or the Monaco Grand Prix. If you want to test the waters before you invest in property, there is a selection of impeccable hotels to choose from. Two that stand out include the exclusive Cap Estel Eze perfectly positioned in between Nice and Monaco and the formidable Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap D’Antibes. Cap Estel Eze is a five-star chateau that accommodates only fifty guests. Expect Michelin-starred cuisine and suites carved into the rock face above a private beach. Highlights of the 19th century mansion Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc include five tennis courts and a Sisley spa.

Airports serving the Cote D’Azur include Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport (NCE), Toulon–Hyères Airport (TLN), St Tropez La Mole (LTT) and Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (CEQ). Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is the main airport, but if you are after a more discreet arrival, private jet charter to one of the smaller airports is ideal. One of the joys of private jet rental is that check in time is only ever around 15 minutes, making for a much shorter total time in transit.

5.  Bora Bora, French Polynesia

A premium destination for the unparalleled privacy it can provide, Bora Bora offers crystal clear waters, luxury over-the-water bungalows with private ocean entrances and postcard views. Celebrities who holiday here include Nicole Kidman, the Kardashians, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Bieber. You can charter a plane to avoid long layovers and time wasted in the airport, leaving you more time to kick back and relax. Bora Bora Airport (BOB) is the main airport, located on the islet of Motu Mute. Other nearby airports include Uturoa Airport (RFP), Maupiti Airport (MAU), and Huahine Airport (HUH).
