Manuel Antonio is one of the most popular destinations for families in Costa Rica. It is also one of the most stunning locations in the world to have a destination wedding! That’s why we decided to have our wedding in Manuel Antonio at Si Como No Resort, Spa & Wildlife Refuge – (means “Sure, Why Not” in Spanish). The name was appropriate for the occasion, our wedding. (Read about our wedding ceremony: Getting Married in Costa Rica).
The hotel is nestled in the cliff of Manuel Antonio which is an oasis overlooking the Pacific Ocean within easy reach of Manuel Antonio National Park.

We were completely thrilled with the hotel and especially our room with powerful air conditioning, which was a relief as it was 90 degrees outside. We enjoyed lounging on the private balcony in our deluxe room and the kids in their deluxe suite. Our ocean view from the room was fantastic. The luxury king size bed in front of one of the two patios was comfy. The shower was huge with stained glass windows.

The two pools, water slide, hot tub, swim-up bars were some of the highlights. The water slide seemed to be a favorite among the kids and my husband. I enjoyed watching them dive into the pool from the swim up bar and relaxing in the sun.

The resort is in an area filled with wildlife, including monkeys, lizards, and frogs. Never could I imagine such a wonderful experience in a hotel surrounded by nature. We saw monkeys and a toucan outside our balcony and heard the howler monkeys in the morning. The hotel advised us not to leave anything outside in our balcony patio because the monkeys are known for taking any items left outside.

No matter what time of day you ate breakfast, lunch or dinner, you couldn’t beat the views and the sunsets from the restaurant.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to get to the Manuel Antonio Beach. It’s a 10 minute shuttle ride down to the beach.
We celebrated our destination wedding on the beach at Manuel Antonio and had dinner afterwards at the hotel. The staff went out of their way for us with all the preparations for the wedding, they even made us a 2-tier cake. To read about our wedding ceremony: Getting Married in Costa Rica
I would definitely recommend Si Como No Resort & Spa and would be pleased to stay there again!

Wow! Those views look fantastic. But I suspect the big attraction for kids is the waterslides? What a great location for a destination wedding.
Carmen
Hi Fiarlie,
The monkeys were a big hit with my kids. You see them all the time. In the morning we would sit outside for breakfast and they would get very close to our tables. The waterslide was a lot of fun too!

What a lovely place to get married!
Si Como No is definitely a beautiful resort. I love that luxury and nature immersed together. Will keep it mind next time I visit Costa Rica.

Hi Marisol,
We really enjoyed the hotels location. It’s only a few feet away from a wildlife refuge and a shuttle ride down to the beach. I hope to return someday to Costa Rica and stay there again.
Lauren
This place is absolutely gorgeous! Those views….and that room! Wow. I’d love to go there. Cute monkeys, too!

Hi Lauren,
It’s a special place for us since we got married there on the beach. The sunsets in the evenings were magical. If you get a chance check out my post on “Getting Married in Costa Rica”
