I returned last week from spending a few days at the Moon Palace Resort Golf & Spa in Cancun Mexico attending the TBEX (Travel Bloggers Exchange) North American conference. It was my first time back to Cancun in a few years and I was excited to be back.
Arriving at the Cancun Airport, I went to the BestDay counter just outside the terminal which provided the transfer service to the Moon Palace Resort. The drive took around 20 minutes.
The Moon Palace Resort Golf & Spa Resort is an all inclusive resort situated in Cancun’s south shores, within 10 miles of downtown Cancun. The resort is huge and it’s divided into three sections: Moon Grand, Sunrise and Nizuc and has a total of 2,457 rooms. I stayed in the Sunrise building.
Accommodations
Each guest room comes with inspiring views of either the garden, ocean, or golf course. Rooms come with a double jacuzzi tub, 24-hour room service, and a marble bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower. You can relax in your own private balcony’s hammock. Moon Palace’s amenities include nightly turndown service, plush bathrobes and slippers, and Chi hair products. Ladies, you don’t have to bring your blowdryer or flat iron because they provide them too.
Dining
The whole resort has 14 restaurants and you can dine at a different place every night of the week and enjoy a variety of international cuisine, including Mexican, American, Italian and Asian fare. Quench your thirst at any of their twelve bars, including six in the pool.
Ready to take a dip? Come dive into one of their 7 pools.
The FlowRider seemed to be a big hit with everyone. What better way to challenge your surfing skills and enjoy the rush.
Are you a golfer? I’m not but I hear that their courses are great.
Even as I say “Adios” goodbye to the Moon Palace Resort and Cancun, I look forward to returning one day soon with my family.

October 4, 2014 at 2:50 amHeather and I were fortunate enough to meet both of you Carmen and Tamara! It’s great putting faces to virtual names rather than just interacting in online communities! Really enjoyed our experience at Cancun and wish we were able to go to Athens also.
