Who has yet to finalize a Mother’s Day present or plans yet? Don’t worry, you still have time! As a mother, I really mean it when I say that doing something fun with your loved ones and creating memories is so much better than any material item. And it’s no surprise that a fun getaway filled with pampering checks all of my boxes!
This year, the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort is making Mother’s Day even more “grand” with special on-site activities for families, in addition to 20% off standard room rates for Mother’s Day Weekend. This package also includes 20% off food and beverage offerings resort-wide, as well as a 25% discount for treatments at their lovely Cenote Spa. Comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and relaxation time… what more could a mother need?!
When it comes to fine dining, the resort will be offering a complimentary breakfast menu for Mom and a special mimosa bar starting at 12 PM at La Cocina. While your well deserving mother eats for free, family members can join her for $27 for the special breakfast menu and $15 for the mimosa bar. Starting your day off with a hearty breakfast overlooking the ocean is the best way to kick off a fabulous getaway.
I really like how this Grand Hyatt property is a place where both kids and kids at heart can have fun together. Over Mother’s Day Weekend, Camp Hyatt Tortuguita has deigned a couple of additional opportunities for moms and kids to celebrate together under the sun. In the morning on Sunday, May 14th, they’re offering “Yoga with Mom” where moms and children will be able to live a moment of relaxation and low impact exercise together.
Later in the afternoon, you can take a break from the pool or beach and make personalized “DIY” natural foot scrubs together. Moms and children can select from a variety of sugars and essential oils to customize the scrub’s aroma according to their preference. This is a great opportunity for little guests to make a homemade gift for mom to use on those days when she needs a little extra pampering. It’s a very fun, creative, and thoughtful activity!
Be sure to give your Mom some precious alone time where she can unwind at the award-winning Cenota Spa which is offering an additional promotion that gifts spagoers a $50 credit for any 60 or 90 minute treatments. Picture a true wellness sanctuary, inspired by the mystical underground lagoons that are considered energy centers. The Cenote Spa’s mission is to provide exceptional benefits to those who visit the sanctuary. Your mother can choose from an array of signature services that are inspired by the Mayan culture which is truly unique.
No matter what time of the year you visit, this stunning Grand Hyatt resort will be happy to welcome you and help create a memorable vacation! If you’d like to book a last-minute Mother’s Day getaway to Playa del Carmen, please visit https://playadelcarmen.grand.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html.

May 10, 2017 at 2:17 pmThat sounds delightful!!! I won’t get to the Hyatt Playa del Carmen for mother’s day but I now know where I want to plan for next year. I’m lucky I get two Mother’s Days (the British one is Mothering Sunday in March) and then the American one, too. I make the kids celebrate both :-))

May 17, 2017 at 12:31 amI love the idea of organizing a getaway for mothers day – actually spending proper time as a family instead of sending flowers and a note – it’s these experiences which are usually the most memorable, and the best gift these days is always our time 🙂 I love that the Grand Hyatt got into the mothers day spirit this year – what a great way to surprise mom!
