In my opinion, the best Valentine’s Day gift you can give to a loved one is an experience the two of you can enjoy together! Whether you live in South Florida, like me, or are planning a romantic getaway here, there are so many luxurious options to splurge on for that special day. From five-star stays, to fine dining and unique spa experiences, there is something for every couple to enjoy!
#1 Palm Beach Staycation at Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa
Jump start the romance at Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa’s ocean front restaurant Brandon’s this Valentine’s Day. The delicious four course menu is a steal at only $65 per person with fabulous dishes to choose from. The Main lobster bisque made with bourbon vanilla crème fraiche is a great starter, or the spinach and strawberry salad made with local baby greens, goat cheese, candied pecans, pickled onions, and rosemary balsamic dressing if you’re interested in something lighter. For an entree, I’d recommend either the crusted red snapper with wild mushroom farro, wilted organic greens, vanilla bean beurre blanc or the delicious Surf ‘n turf of petite filet, shrimp scampi, whipped chive potatoes, blistered french beans, and bordelaise sauce
The meal won’t be complete without dessert, and you can choose between their Chocolate Bomb with caramelized bananas, raspberry sauce, vanilla ice cream, warm salted caramel sauce or Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée with macerated berries.
I’d also recommend splurging on a staycation or full indulgence weekend, and booking the Couples Retreat package. This includes a 50-minute couples massage in their luxurious spa while taking in picturesque ocean views, and complimentary room upgrade.
#2 Book a Spontaneous and Romantic Trip to The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL
The Diplomat Beach Resort features bright, beach-y guest rooms, two sun-drenched pools, a glittering, ultramodern spa, plus 8 all-new culinary concepts led by celebrity chefs including Geoffrey Zakarian and Michael Schulson. Don’t leave without enjoying a romantic dinner at Diplomat Prime, a 1950s, re-imagined boutique steakhouse led by Executive Chef Rashaad Abdool, with their Valentine’s Day Lovers’ Menu. Some of the standout dishes include which Oysters & Caviar, Pan Seared Duck Breast and Strawberry Shortcake. I’d also highly recommend their speciality cocktails, such as the Mint Chocolate Martini or the Spicy Passionfruit Maracuyá.
