10 Things You Need for a Luxurious Camping Trip

LIFESTYLE, TRAVEL

There are many different reasons why camping might not be everybody’s cup of tea. From the insects and bugs to sleeping on the ground all night. It’s not often described as luxurious. However, glamping, a more lavish version, is becoming more and more popular. While it might require some expenditure and preparation, you still get to enjoy a night under the stars.

Sound interesting? In this article, we are going to take a look at ten things you will need for a luxurious camping trip.

#1 Camping Shower

One of the things that most people dislike about camping is that sites don’t have public showers. This means you might have to go an entire weekend without cleaning yourself. However, if you want to change that, it’s very possible with a portable camping shower. The best part is, there are plenty of options to choose from. From small systems to solar-powered ones that allow you to have hot water, you can feel fresh no matter what activities you have planned.

#2 Portable Toilet

Most campsites will have some form of public toilet available, but trying to navigate your way there in the dark can be extremely challenging. If you want your own privacy or are at a remote location and would rather not dig a hole, it’s worth investing in a portable toilet. Luckily, with various portable toilet solutions available on the market, you can choose from a wide range of options to suit your needs, whether you prefer a compact and lightweight design for backpacking or a more durable and comfortable model for car camping or RV trips. Just make sure that you do some research and pack some bags and other products for easy disposal. While great, cleaning things out when you’re about to leave can still be rather unpleasant!

#3 Privacy Tent

A shower and portable toilet are both excellent, but if you really want to take your camping trip to the next level, you need to get some privacy tents. Just pop them up, hook up your shower or place your toilet inside, and you can have complete isolation without the fear of peeping toms. Trust us when we say they are one of the best purchases, especially at those crowded sites.

#4 Folding Cot

Nobody enjoys sleeping on the ground, so if you want to relax and unwind in ultimate comfort, then a folding cot is a great choice. Alongside the fact that it looks and feels like a real bed, you won’t have to worry so much about bugs and creepy crawlies. While they can be heavy and take up a lot of space, they really are worth it. You can find some other tips to make your tent the comfiest place on earth here.

#5 Power Supply

Most camping sites, unless you’re staying at a caravan park, aren’t powered, so you’ll need to have your own source to stay connected. With these portable power supplies, you can keep everything charged – from your laptop and phones to lamps and cooking appliances. They really are essential and can take your regular camping trip to the ultimate glamping experience.

#6 Camp Oven

Cooking over the campfire can be fun, but just because you are outdoors doesn’t mean you can’t create some gourmet meals. An outdoor camp oven can be used to cook just about anything. You can make bacon and eggs in the morning and whip up some chocolate chip muffins for afternoon tea. If you are going to be camping for a while, it’s certainly a handy appliance to bring along. Check out these easy camping recipes for some inspiration!

#7 Washing Machine

Speaking of long camping trips, alongside your camp oven, it can also be wise to buy a portable washing machine. You never have to worry about wearing dirty clothing again, and won’t have to pack such a large suitcase. These handy devices can even be solar powered so that you can always wash on the go. While a bucket and plunger can do the trick, if you want to eliminate hard work and enjoy your camping trip to the fullest, it’s something to take into consideration.

#8 Hammock

Regular camping chairs are great, but if you want to enjoy a luxurious trip and soak up the sunshine, a hammock is an excellent purchase. Just pop it up between two trees, and you can relax with a good book all day long. If you want to take things one step further, you can even get ones with a fly screen cover so that you can sleep under the stars! (Provided that the weather is nice, of course).

#9 Video Projector and Screen

If you want to turn your trip into an experience that others will be envious of, you can’t go wrong with an outdoor video projector and screen. When the sun goes down, you can play your favorite movies and even hook up your gaming system. You will need power (which we discussed above), but aside from that, you’re good to go! You can even make things instagramable with fairy lights, cozy pillows, and blankets. It’s so much fun for the whole family!

#10 Water Activity Gear

Finally, the last thing you will need for a luxurious camping trip is some activity gear to make your days fun! From canoes and kayaks to paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. Your day will never get boring. Just make sure that the entire family follows the correct safety procedures and wears lifejackets. While glamping might make your trip more comfortable, you still need to be careful when out in mother nature.

Some other safety tips to follow include:

  • – Bring a first-aid kit with you at all times.
  • – Research sites in advance and be aware of dangerous wildlife.
  • – Practice safety around campfires.
  • – Check the weather in advance.
  • – Make sure everyone has a copy of a waterproof map.
  • – Practice sun safety.

And that’s it!

With all of the above, you can enjoy a trip that you will remember for the rest of your life. Whether you are only away for a few days or a few weeks, you’ll know that you have everything you need to be as comfortable as possible. Good luck, and remember to have fun!
