The Best Beaches in Miami and Where to Eat Nearby

FLORIDA, LIFESTYLE, MIAMI

Miami is a place you have to visit to understand the hype. It’s everything and more. From the beaches to the nightlife to simply the city vibe, it’s easy to understand why more than 28 million tourists stay in Greater Miami & Miami Beach each year. Out of all the things you could go to Miami for, at the top of the list have to be the beaches. The pristine white sands and crystal-clear blue waters are like nothing else.

Read on for the top beaches in Miami and where to stay.

Where to Stay

Let’s start with where to stay – some of Miami (almost all of it) can be expensive. If you’re looking to be a bit more budget-friendly, we’d recommend staying outside of the city. You’re still well connected and only have to get a short bus into the centre from most of the cheaper areas you can stay in. For example, hotels by the airport are considerably cheaper than in the centre. You’ve got options like B&B HOTELS, and as you’re near the airport, there’s plenty of transport available also.

If you want to stay inside Miami, we’d recommend:

  • Little Havana
  • Downtown Miami
  • Key Biscayne
  • Near South Beach

South Beach

Speaking of South Beach as a place to stay, it’s also the beach that consistently ranks as the best. It’s the beach everyone knows about, talks about, and wants to be at.

And it’s not necessarily the beach itself that people love; it’s the entire area. The beach is known for its beautiful white sands and clear waters, but the area is more famous for its nightlife with trendy bars, incredible dining experiences, and that true Miami vibe.

South Pointe

South Pointe is technically part of South Beach, but the two are separate. Most people visit for an Instagram picture on the 450-foot pier, the beach’s main attraction.

It’s also famous for its surfing, kiteboarding, kayaking, and general watersports. It’s more of a laid-back vibe than South Beach itself. The palm-tree-lined sand is perfect for relaxing away from the glitz and glamour of the rest of South Beach.

You’ll find South Pointe at the southernmost point of South Beach.

Lummus Beach Park

You’ll notice most of the famous beaches in Miami are on South Beach, and Lummus Park is no different.

Lummus Park is more lively than South Pointe, but it’s still not as glitzy and glamorous as the South Point everyone knows and goes to. It has more of a laid-back, artsy vibe and is known for its iconic Art Deco architecture.

People generally love to come to Lummus Park to play volleyball, sunbathe, and simply enjoy life.

There are so many other beaches that could have made the list: Haulover, North Shore Open Space Park, Miami Beach, etc. Every beach in Miami is good; it just depends on the vibe you’re looking for and how many people you want to be surrounded by. Some beaches in Miami are calm; some are crowded and full of entertainment!
