Largest Collection of Packard Motor Cars

The Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum in downtown Fort Lauderdale, is one of the least expected experiences.  This hidden gem is the largest collection of Packard Motor Cars and memorabilia from the 1900’s to the 1950’s.

The museum which is an 18,000 square foot building is a reproduction of an old Packard showroom from the 1920’s.  They have on display a total of 22 Packard Motor Cars in full working condition. The museum is also available to rent for special events or fundraisers.   It’s a great venue to host a roaring 20’s party theme.   We did and the guests loved it!!

  1. I love visiting car museums. Classic cars always have such character and detail that today’s cars will never have.

Hi Brittany. It’s a very unique place. Makes you feel like you have traveled back in time.

  2. I seriously can’t think of a better party theme than the roaring 20s 😀 Great photos!

Thanks. It’s a great place to host an event. The guest really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the cars.

  3. I love the Roaring 20s! Makes me think about the movie Midnight In Paris 🙂 Great classic cars, too!

Hi Lauren, I love that movie! Most locals don’t even know about this place. This museum rivals any I have seen.

  4. What a gorgeous collection, vehicles like that are more work of art than just mere transportation.

    • Carmen

Hi Brianna, All of the vehicles are in working condition and in excellent condition. T he variety of vehicles and keepsakes is wonderful. I hope it will always be there for generations to come.

  5. This looks like such an interesting museum to wander around. What a great idea to host a roaring 20′s party theme. Despite not being a car fanatic, I actually enjoyed visiting car museums. I love this era so this would have been wonderful visit.

Hi Mary. I’m not a big car buff either. It’s a fun place to wander around and see all the cars which are in prime condition, while hearing twenties music being played in the background.

  6. I’m in love with the 1909 Packard Model, such a pretty color. I’ve been looking at different collectors, my husband is very interested in purchasing a vintage car. We’ll have to find a place we’d be able to store the car, it’d be fun to say we own a vintage car.

Yes, it’s definitely a fun hobby!
