4 Unheard of Beaches in the Philippines for Your Next Vacation

LIFESTYLE, LUXURY TRAVEL ASIA, LUXURY TRAVEL DESTINATIONS, TRAVEL

When you think about the Philippines, one of the first things that comes to mind is world class beaches and stunning ocean views. But with so many travelers visiting this stunning country, it’s hard to find a beach that isn’t overcrowded. However, there are some hidden gems in the Philippines that will take your next vacation from humdrum to extraordinary! There isn’t anything wrong with visiting popular beach locations, but nothing says luxury like finding an unheard of beach in an exotic location.

In order to help you put a little adventure into your Philippines’ holiday, here are four practically unheard of beaches that will make your next vacation incredible!

Solangon Beach on Siquijor

On the edge of the island of Siquijor, you will find the secluded beach of Solangon. The white sands stretch along the coast line, with palms and vibrantly clear shallow waters. This beach is the perfect spot to watch a colorful sunset, take a long beach stroll, and swim without dozens of people. Though you can’t just fly into Siquijor on your Philippine Airlines flight, it isn’t difficult to get there! This beach is pretty secluded, but low tide makes it difficult to go swimming. Before you make the trip all the way to Solangon beach in Siquijor, be certain to check the tide times!

Apo Reef Natural Park, Sablayan

The Apo Reef is the largest coral reef in the Philippines. It takes up an area of 34 square kilometers and is absolutely stunning. Because this precious natural wonder needs protection, it is actually a national park! If you are looking for a more secluded beach with spectacular diving, then this is the spot for you. Here are just a few of the things you can find here:

  • Over 285 Species of Marine Life
  • Soft white sand
  • Crystal clear blue waters
  • Reefs arnor Island
  • Reefs around Cayound App Island
  • Reefs around App Meos del Bajo
  • Tropical Bird watching
  • Kayaking
  • Lagoon rafting
  • Turtle monitoring

This is truly an adventurous beach, without the typical throngs of tourists. So whether you are curious about nature, or simply want an activity filled spot for your romantic holiday, App Reef National Park is the spot for you!

Lake Holon in T’boli in South Cotabato

Lake Holon is a fantastic spot for people who love camping, hiking, and all around beautiful locations. Though this isn’t your typical beach, it is still an unforgettable place for your trip to the Philippines. You can backpack through the gorgeous hills around the Lake, then camp along the “beach” and lake front. It is hidden in the mountains of South Cotabato and you can choose to hike, camp, or simply enjoy the splendor of this spectacular spot. There are a few companies that you can book an “adventure package” through. This can include a hike, a camping location, and so much more. So if you get a little tired of the white sandy beaches, and want something a little more exploration oriented, then this is for you!

Dicasalarin Cove in Baler

The beaches in Baler are absolutely beautiful, but nothing really compares to the charm and beauty of Dicasalarin Cove. Not only is this a private location, but you have to pay to get in, and there are limitations of how many people can enter for this stunning spot. Walking onto the stunning soft white sand beaches will overwhelm you with how beautiful it is. The cove is surrounded by striking green hills, and is never overcrowded. You can even hike through some of the surrounding hillsides and higher cliffs. There is a small spot to get some food, but there aren’t any places to sleep, so it is definitely a day trip worth taking. And you certainly need to remember all of your snacks and sun protection because there aren’t a lot of places nearby!

Lastly…

If you are heading to the Philippines for your luxury holiday, but don’t really want to be around a lot of people, these four incredible spots can help you make your holiday unforgettable. Whether you want to hike around Lake Holon, snorkel at Apo Reef, or simply lay in the sand at Solangon and Dicasalarin Cove, our list will make your next Philippines vacation even more spectacular!
