Louis Vuitton handbags are my weakness. Champagne, Bourdeaux wines, Tiffany jewelry: all of this I can resist. But those Louis Vuitton bags have a special power over me. There’s something in their elegance and the brand that makes it for me a travel must-have. These days, I don’t go anywhere without my Louis Vuitton.
I can remember when I first fell in love. It was a summer in Paris in 2005. I was with my husband. We were on the Champs Elysees and I saw the beautiful Louis Vuitton store. My eyes lit up like a little girl in a candy store. I walked in as if in a daze and at first, just wandered around admiring the five stories of elegant Louis Vuittons. A sales lady eventually asked if she could help and offered champagne to my husband and me. While he sat, I walked around admiring and trying all these beautiful beautiful bags. It was the height of romance and of elegance…shopping leisurely in Paris with a sales lady who seemed thrilled to help me look at and discuss all those beautiful bags. After what must have seemed like hours to my husband, in fact it probably was hours, I decided to get a full set: a shoulder bag, wallet, and cosmetic bag all in the Monogram style. It was a very emotional and I’ve been hot and heavy with Louis Vuitton ever since.

Travel Bags and Accessories
HANDBAG
Damier Bloomsbury is perfect as an everyday bag. It’s both functional and feminine, it can be either carried on the shoulder or across the body. Bloomsbury could carry your basic neccessities as it features one inside flat pocket, a phone pocket and an outside pocket with magnetic closure. With its simple and elegant design, Damier Bloomsbury is the ultimate bag for the woman on the go when traveling.

Damier Bloomsbury PM (12″ x 10.6″ x 1.2″) N42251 $1270
COMPUTER BAG
The Icare Damier Ebene is ideal for business or travel. Its ample interior easily accommodates documents and a laptop, while brown leather trimmings make it smart looking . One of my favorite things was the wide strap at the back of the bag to slide onto the Pegase suitcase.
Icare Damier Ebene (15.5″ x 11.4″ x 5.9) N23252 $2,340.00
LUGGAGE
Stars overwhelmingly favor monogram and damier canvas Keepalls and Pegase rolling suitcases as their go-to designer carry-ons. It’s impressive how much Louis Vuitton’s travel gear seems to cross all kinds of lines – gender, race, age, career type, fame level – to saturate the celebrity market.
Meeting regulation size, it’s the perfect fit for the overhead compartment.

KEEPALL 55 BANDOULIERE N41413 $1,760.00

Pegase Damier Ebene Light 55 N41386 $3550.00
SUNGLASSES
Iris PM are stylish sunglasses feature semi-translucent brown frames with rounded rims and gradient brown lenses. The arms are adorned with rhinestone-embellished gold Monogram monogram logo symbols at the temple. They would make a gorgeous add to your wardrobe!

What’s your favorite Louis Vuitton travel bag?

August 26, 2015 at 11:08 pmMine is the largest Neverfull. My husband will not let me own LV luggage because he’s worried it’s ripe for theft. So I settle for handbags. I bought a beautiful Twinset clutch/crossbody in Paris in June and it was $500 cheaper than in the US because of the exchange rate/VAT refund. Total deal!

August 26, 2015 at 11:22 pmIf I had to check it in I would worry about that too. My husband gave me the Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene iCare Laptop Bag for my birthday last year, and I absolutely love it. I remember a few years back when I could walk into the LV store in Paris, and buy two bags for the price of one here. Now when you go you have to wait in long lines, and the store is so crowded.

August 28, 2015 at 7:07 pmI really like the Pegase Damier Ebene luggage, but I worry about the wear and tear going through the airport.

August 29, 2015 at 2:21 pmLouis Vuitton luggage is amazing but I wonder if it’s worth spending so much on a suitcase when they get so badly damaged at the airport.

August 31, 2015 at 8:51 amI completely agree that’s why I haven’t purchased the luggage. Although, the small bag can fit in the overhead.
