A Historical Haven

Outdoor Escapades
For those craving a dose of the great outdoors, the lodge offers a plethora of activities against the backdrop of Lake Arrowhead’s breathtaking scenery. Embark on a tranquil lake tour, test your bravery on the ropes course, find your Zen through yoga sessions on the sun deck with lake views, join guided walks to explore the surrounding wilderness, or engage in friendly matches of pool and volleyball. The options are as varied as the landscape itself. Whether you’re looking for a tranquil retreat or more adventure, you can satisfy both of those travel needs here.

I always enjoy a mix of independent activities along with guided experiences and I was happy I could do both at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge. I especially loved learning so much about Lake Arrowhead itself and its famous inhabitants (past and present) on our pontoon cruise. Fun fact, Liberace owned a lakeside mansion nearby, which we sailed past, and some locals claimed he would be seen playing piano in the nude on his front lawn.
Indoor Indulgences
When the crisp mountain air calls for indoor pursuits, the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge doesn’t disappoint. Culinary enthusiasts can partake in exciting cooking challenges, sharpening their skills under the guidance of seasoned chefs. For those with a sweet tooth, craft chocolate tasting and education sessions offer a delectable journey into the world of fine cocoa. I loved this particular experience, not only because of the wine pairings with chocolate but the fact that I got to learn while indulging in sweet treats! These experiences add a touch of sophistication to the retreat, making it a perfect blend of leisure and refinement.
