September 23, 2015 at 12:50 pmThe Sonesta is special with it’s floor to ceiling glass views of the ocean and Fort Lauderdale beach. The only thing I don’t like about it is the pool is very small compared to the other hotels.

September 28, 2015 at 7:34 pmOh my, Carmen, they all look so luxurious that it would be hard to choose. I guess the easiest way would be to check out every single one with a firsthand stay. ๐ Do you have a favorite?
We recently spent a day in through Fort Lauderdale. We took a water taxi around and had a blast looking at all the fabulous yachts and waterfront real estate. I guess that’s why the city has so many high-end hotels, huh?
Great luxury roundup, by the way. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard.

October 1, 2015 at 11:12 amHi Linda,
I have a few hotels that I absolutely love on the beach. I don’t really have a favorite because they are all wonderful properties. The water taxi is a great way to get around Fort Lauderdale and see some of the luxurious mansions along the way, plus you can stop at several of the restaurants on intracoastal waterway for lunch or dinner.

June 6, 2021 at 9:22 amHi Carmen I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
I canโt decide between Pelican Grand and the Ritz. My husband and I are traveling soon to Fort Lauderdale for a long weekend of R&R It seems like the Pelican Grand is more relaxing but not many restaurants around while the Ritz is closer to more attractions but not as private.
Thank you
Marina

June 8, 2021 at 11:15 pmHi Marina, I would personally choose the Ritz because you are closer to restaurants. But the property itself is still very lovely and relaxing.
