The Best WiFi Hotspot Device: Skyroam Solis

TECH, TRAVEL

It’s official, Skyroam Solis is my new favorite travel companion. I don’t think I will ever leave the country without it! Gone are the days where I spend way too much money for extra international cellphone data while traveling. I always end up needing to use more than what I’ve purchased, and it just adds up. Skyroam Solis is the perfect solution for me.

There might be several hotspot devices on the market nowadays, but Skyroam is by far my favorite one I’ve used. Why? Here are 5 great reasons…

#1 FAST & SIMPLE

Skyroam Solis is a 4G LTE Wifi Hotspot Device that is super fast, portable, and convenient. It provides one-touch access to unlimited WiFi in over 120 countries. Therefore, if you’re enjoying an epic Euro trip, you don’t have to search for a new SIM card in every different country. All you need to do is turn the device on with one simple touch, and start your 24-hour pass for $9. This gives you UNLIMITED 4G LTE mobile WiFi access within those 24 hours which is incredible!

#2 SHAREABLE

One of my favorite aspects of Skyroam is how shareable it is. If you’re traveling with family or friends, they are able to enjoy your Skyroam benefits as well! Skyroam allows you to connect up to five different gadgets at once. Even if you’re traveling solo, you can take advantage of this feature by connecting both your laptop and mobile phone to Skyroam, and not have to worry about picking which one gets to use the WiFi!

#3 LONG-LASTING

There’s no use in buying a portable WiFi device if the battery dies quickly. This is where Skyroam really stands out amongst its competitors. The Skyroam Solis stays powered-on all day long with 16+ hours of WiFi battery life. During my travels, I would have my device charging overnight to full while meant I didn’t have to worry about it dying throughout the day while I was out exploring.

#4 POWERFUL CHARGING

The Skyroam Solis is actually two device in one because it works as a power bank as well! Yes, that means you can charge your other gadgets (like your phone) on-the-go! I love how I don’t have to also carry a portable charging device with me now, Skyroam Solis takes care of that too.

#5 PEACE OF MIND

Ultimately, Skyroam Solis gives me peace of mind, especially when I travel on my own. One of my worst travel fears is either my phone dying or not being able to access WiFi while I am out exploring. This can put you in a bad situation if you need to look up directions, or call someone. With Skyroam Solis, I don’t have to worry about these things and I am able to travel without limits!

Most recently on a trip in Peru, Skyroam Solis really was useful. I was enjoying a beautiful train ride up to Machu Picchu and wanted to share the incredible journey with my followers on social media. However, there was no wifi service provided on the train. Lucky for me, I turned on my device and was able to stay connected and share this adventure with people from around the world. As a travel blogger and frequent traveler, I will never leave for a trip without my Skyroam Solis!

Disclaimer: I was sent a Skyroam Solis to review, and all opinions are my own.

Sounds like a great solution – whereby not exactly cheap. Since my next trip will be within Europe, I don’t need to worry since roaming is free now. But for emergencies on other continents this might be very useful.

I hadn’t realised just how small it is! I can see so many benefits in this, particularly as you can add up to five devices; that covers everything we normally take with us. Great to know that it’s also a powerbank.

Wow, this small cute device for international roaming sounds very useful. I would surely look into this as getting international data or local SIM is really getting tough for me. As it is easy to carry, I would love to use it.

I’ve heard great things about Skyroam. So far, I haven’t really needed portable wifi. My phone plan is great with international travel and I can use it the same as I do at home, almost everywhere else in the world. I’ll definitely have to keep this in mind if I ever do need it!

Do you have Tmobile? They have a great international data plan! Unfortunately I don’t have them so Skyroam was super helpful 🙂

We looked into the Skyroam, but ended up going with a TEP since it had very similar features. But perhaps we should have gotten the Skyroam considering the battery life. Thanks for this information.

Never heard of TEP but definitely consider Skyroam if you’re unhappy with their battery life 🙂
