Beaches are fantastic places. They provide you with the chance to truly relax, top up your tan, people watch, play and swim. The top-class ones I tell you about below are perfect for when you want to combine sun, sea, and sand with a touch of luxury and maybe some pampering or partying.
Getting ready for a day on a luxury beach
First, a quick roundup of what you will need to take with you to get the most out of spending a few days on a luxury beach. Many of these beaches are frequented by the rich and famous, so you will certainly want fashionable swimwear to pack for your trip. You want to look the part, so you fit in and feel comfortable.
Designer sunglasses and sandals are a must. Also, treat yourself to a fashionable new beach bag. It needs to be large enough for your sun protection products, a stylish hat, your electronics, books, magazines and a sarong or lightweight skirt and top to wear over your swimwear. But, not so large that it is not stylish and sophisticated. If you want more general advice about packing for a luxury vacation, this article I wrote on that very subject should prove useful.
Now, let’s take a closer look at some luxury beaches. Some of them are resort beaches. In some cases, only the resort’s guests have access to these beaches. So, please bear this in mind before booking your trip.
KiChic, Mancora, Peru

Set right on the beach, KiChic is a lovely spiritual-leaning retreat. The beach is idyllic and the facilities top-class. It attracts honeymooners from all over the world, yet also caters well for single travelers and other types of holidaymakers. Very low-key yet sophisticated.
Hermitage Bay, Antigua

A stay in this small boutique hotel gives you access to the beautiful beach. This is a child-free zone, so it is a tranquil spot. Guest particularly enjoy the fact that they can spend all day on the beach and do not have to leave for dinner. You can have it served on the beach.
Song Saa Private Island, Cambodia

This luxury resort covers two islands. Visitors can stay in one of 27 wooden villas with private decks many of which are built out into the sea. There is also a small, pristine, beach. Spa treatments are also available in the small sanctuary spaces that are incorporated into the resort.
Caresse Hotel, Bodrum, Turkey

This hotel offers every guest a sea view. The outside spaces are a combination of decking and beachside luxury sun loungers. Plus, of course, you have access to all of the hotel’s facilities, so you can enjoy lunch on the beach if you like.
Scorpios, Mykonos, Greece

The Greek island of Mykonos has several beach clubs. Some of which like Scorpios are popular with local celebrities. This beach club offers luxury in a laid-back format.
Balneario Illetas (Las Terrazas) Beach Club, Mallorca

This beach club experience is one that anyone can enjoy. There are well-appointed sunbeds that you can use all day if you like. But, most visitors split their time between these and the luxury spa and restaurant. It really is the perfect combination of sun, pampering and good food.
Stalis Beach – Crete

This is a public beach that offers visitors the chance to rent luxury sunbeds at a very low cost. Included in the price is access to a safe for each pair of sunbeds.

KiChic is especially appealing for having a pool that overlooks the beach – kind of the best of both worlds! I also like that Stalis Beach has safes available – as an often solo traveler, it’s nice that I could utilize that and not have to pack up everything if I wanted to step away to the water.
Carmen Edelson
Yes! I love not having to choose between the beach and pool 🙂
Tara
All of these locations look wonderful to me! I LOVE beach vacations.
Carmen Edelson
I do too, Tara 🙂

Song Saa Island looks so luxurious. We have always wanted to go to the Maldives or Bali but the price can be daunting. I imagine that Song Saa might give you a similar experience with Cambodian pricing. That would be fantastic.
Carmen Edelson
Yes the pricing is expensive but worth it, especially for a special occasion!

I’ve never been on a lux trip, it’s normally too expensive, but ugh, these places are so incredibly beautiful! I love the Song Saa private island – perfect for a romantic getaway.
Carmen Edelson
Yes, definitely perfect for a romantic getaway, especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion!
Heather
I have noticed that a lot of times luxury beaches can only be accessed by resort guests and I actually like that. Keeps it from being crowded and typically provides a more upscale experience. Ooh I love Perú and would say KiChic would have to be the one on your list I would want to visit most!
Carmen Edelson
I really like that too, Heather!
Alicia
I can’t say I have ever been to a luxury beach, or that they would want me with my rambunctious boys, but they look idyllic!
Carmen Edelson
Haha, I’m sure it’s more enjoyable without kids 😉
Renata
How lucky you are having been to all these posh places that you are introducing here. However, I find that almost every beach is pure luxury (sadly, clean beaches – and clean water, for that matter – become a real luxury for all of us….) – the more deserted, the better. Leaving tomorrow for South East Europe, let’s see what they have to offer….
Carmen Edelson
Yes I totally agree, the more deserted, the better!
Ayana
Kichic looks like the perfect luxury spot to relax! If I had to choose one destination in your list it’ll be this one
Carmen Edelson
Yes, such relaxation and bliss!
Amy
These are all worthy of inducing wanderlust! I’d happily spend time at any, especially the private island in Cambodia. To me, that is the ultimate dream in luxury travel!
Carmen Edelson
I feel the same!

This post is really making me want to book another beach break away, now! I like how Peru is at the top of your list – it’s not really somewhere I’d associate beautiful beaches with, as I think more about the multicoloured mountains and Machu Pichu when I think about Peru. So that was a surprise! x
Carmen Edelson
I absolutely loved my recent trip to Peru and Machu Picchu!

The Song Saa Private Island in Cambodia looks so amazing Carmen. I visited Koh Rong 2 years ago but I’ve never heard of that plance, it looks like Madives. I’ll try to go there in the near future. Safe travel 🙂

Your choice of luxury beaches is really awesome and the fact and it covers not just one continent or location, and the photos say it all.
