Rise Gear luggage maximizes efficiency for people on the go. This efficient suitcase has collapsible shelves that fit inside each bag and can be conveniently hung up at your destination. It’s like traveling with a suitcase containing a built-in closet.
I travel often and have always disliked getting to a hotel and having to constantly dig around my suitcase for everything. The clothes always get wrinkled, and in the end my dirty clothes get mixed up with my clean clothes, a huge pet peeve of mine.
The concept of the Rise Luggage bags peeked my interest from the start. I was provided with the RISE Slider Carry-on Bag with Collapsible Shelves to review and I have to say, it has made packing for my trips much more enjoyable!
The suitcase comes with plenty of storage space. It has two zipper side pockets on either side. The outside pocket is padded and can hold a 15” laptop, keeping it safe during your travels. The suitcase measures 22′ height by 14′ width and 9′ depth. It weights 10 pounds, or 4.5 kgs. The wheels roll smoothly (I hate when my luggage makes that clicking sound!) and the strong metal telescoping extension handle makes it easy to maneuver on any surface. They even throw in interchangeable unique colour cards to add your own personal flare to your bag.
The History Behind the Rise Gear
While in college, Lee Henshaw, like many of us, was traveling so often that he found himself living out of a duffle bag. Sick of having to constantly dig through a messy bag of wrinkled clothes, he set out to develop a solution that would solve this problem.
After teaching himself how to sew, the prototype featuring a built-in shelving system and hamper to separate laundry from clean clothes was born. Lee along with his brother, Sean, are revolutionizing the travel industry with their solutions for modern travelers.
How it Works
The RISE slider fits inside the suitcase with its collapsible shelving system. The slider shelving unit is detachable from the bag, and is equipped with two hanger hooks that allow you to easily hang it up in a closet. If there’s no room in your closet you can easily hang it over a door way. The collapsible shelving system has 3 shelves and a bottom compartment to be used as a laundry compartment.
Keep Organized with the RISER Shelves
Here’s a crash course on the most efficient way to use your new favorite travel bag: the expanding RISER shelves keep you organized, since they’re deployable, you can lift them right out of your bag and hang it a closet or a door.
When you get to the hotel room, simply pull the shelve out from your suitcase and hang it in your closet. All your clothes are neatly laid out for you and ready to go!
The top shelf has a zipper compartment where you can store two pair of shoes, or your toiletries. I used it for shoes, and when I arrived at the hotel, I left my shoes sitting on top of it.
The first shelf is divided into two pockets. One of the pockets can easily fit a couple pairs of socks either folded or rolled. The other pocket can be used for underwear or bras.
The middle shelf can be used for shirts and can easily store (five to seven) shirts. You can fold them or roll them-by-side. I piled mine on top of each other. The bottom shelf can accommodate either pants or sweaters.
No more looking for places to store your dirty laundry, or throwing your clothes on the floor. The bottom compartment is a laundry bag. You can put your dirty clothes in the bag at the bottom and keep them separated from your clean clothes. That way when your ready to wash them when you get home, you know where everything is.
Since everything stays in your RISE gear during your trip, simply lower the shelves back into your suitcase and you’re all done! Make sure to check out all the different styles of bags they have to offer in their collection.
I’m giving away a FREE RISE Gear Jumper bag, which is a great weekend bag.
