Plan A Luxury Trip To Niagara Falls

Plan A Luxury Trip To Niagara Falls

For luxury travelers, Niagara Falls is an excellent destination. There are plenty of service providers who understand that, for many people, this is a once in a lifetime experience. Most of the owners of hotels, restaurants, attractions and activity companies in the area work hard to make sure that people’s trips are extra special. One way they do that is by offering a touch of luxury.

The fact that Niagara Falls is a popular honeymoon destination also helps. Honeymooners want their first holiday together, as a couple, to be as memorable as possible.

If you are someone who likes a touch of luxury, Niagara Falls is a great travel destination for you! Here is just a taste of what you can do and see while you are there.

Stay in a top-class hotel with spectacular views

There are several high-end five-star hotels in the area. For example, the Marriott on the Falls, which is the closest hotel to the Niagara Falls. It offers luxury accommodation and it has been recently renovated. This is great news because it means the rooms are pristine and that facilities are state-of-the-art. If you can, book yourself a Fallsview room.

Naturally, they cost a little bit more, but you will never forget the experience of looking out over the glorious waterfalls from your room. At certain times of the year the Falls are lit up and there are firework displays, so the view is even more spectacular.

Enjoy gourmet food

The fact that, every year, around 12 million people visit the Falls means that there are plenty of places for you to eat and drink in the area. Most of the bars, cafes and restaurants sell tasty, but basic dishes. These are great for when you have a busy day of sightseeing planned.

But, it is nice to be able to enjoy a special meal out. Fortunately, there are plenty of fine dining restaurants in the area. The 21 Club, Queenston Heights and Remington’s are just three examples.

If you want to enjoy a gourmet meal with a view of the Falls, there are several options. The restaurant in the Skylon Tower is very nice and The Watermark is also popular. They both have tables near the window, which give you a lovely view of the waterfall.

A night at the Casino

There is a big Casino resort located near the waterfalls. You can have a flutter or simply go there to enjoy some of the entertainment and dining experiences that are on offer there. International celebrities like Roger Daltrey, Steven Tyler and Adam Sandler regularly perform in the resort.

A night of cocktails

Most cocktail bars have a classy vibe, so a visit to one is always worth including in a night out. There are numerous great cocktail venues located in and around the main tourist attractions. To decide which one is going to cater to your tastes, all you have to do is to go online and read a few of the travellerreviews. They offer the most up to date information.

  1. Niagara Falls is gorgeous! I visited Niagara in the winter where the trees were covered in icicles. It was a Winter Wonderland!

    • Carmen Edelson

Oooo I’m sure it was so snowy and magical!

  2. Niagara Falls is so pretty. We’ve only been there once with our kids, but I’d love to visit it again and experience some of these things.

    • Carmen Edelson

It’s always fun to revisit such a beautiful place! And you can see both the Canada and U.S. side.

  3. Great post! Niagara Falls has always been a favorite destination for me. Even now, I vividly remember trips with my family and all the fun we had. It is on my list as one of the destinations I also want to experience with my own children. Thank you Carmen for all the tips, especially about reserving a Fallsview Room!

I’m so glad to hear that you’re adding it to your list 🙂

  6. I just went to Niagara Falls for the first time in September while driving from Michigan to New York’s Fingers Lakes for TBEX. I didn’t realize how easy of a drive it would be to get to Niagara, but now I want to visit again. I stayed at one of the nicer hotels with a partial view of the falls, and it was totally worth the cost. As you mentioned, there are great spots for gourmet food and cocktails, so I now have plenty of reasons for a return visit.

I’m sure that view was totally worth it! Sounds like a fun road trip.

  7. We were close to Niagara Falls last year when we visited Toronto. But we opted instead to head east to see Montreal and Quebec City. We got to see the Montmorency Falls which are very beautiful, but I don’t think the two falls compare in water volume. Maybe someday we’ll make it there. Nice pictures, by the way!

Still sounds like such a lovely trip!

  8. This looks so fun! We did the falls a few months ago from the Niagara side but stupid me didn’t take a passport to enjoy the Canadian side. The casino looks right up my alley!

    • Carmen Edelson

Now you have a reason to return! The Canada side is wonderful too.

  9. I lived in Buffalo for two years and worked on the American side of the falls. I love that area, and the falls are beautiful in summer and winter. We liked to get a hotel on the Canadian side and enjoy the sights. Bummed we didn’t make it to the Skylon Tower. What a view! Now I have to go back!

    • Carmen Edelson

Yes, now you have a reason to go back! 🙂

  10. Yes, Niagara Falls is a perfect destination fir luxury travelers. There are so many options to choose from but I will always require great views of the Falls.

    • Carmen Edelson

Yes, a great view is a must 🙂

  11. So, I’m visiting Canada next year and naturally Niagra Falls will be on my itinerary. I’ve not done my planning yet BUT I know that I will be eating at a restaurant with a view like that! It looks outstanding, but like most things in nature, the pictures never quite do it justice compared with seeing it in real life. The pics are beautiful, which means in real life it will be even more stunning!

    • Carmen Edelson

Yes, you’re so right! Photos don’t do this place justice.

  12. I’ve always wanted to see the Niagara Falls! ITS SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

    • Carmen Edelson

Even more beautiful in person! 🙂
