Arrive in Style
The 30-minute journey from Malaga airport to Marbella can be done by bus, but where’s the luxury in that? Instead book yourself a private transfer complete with your own chauffeur. Your driver will collect you off your flight and take your luggage to the luxury car of your choice. Cars include Mercedes S-class, Mercedes E-class and Audi A6 models.
How to Get Around
To fit in with the celebrity tourists that flock to Marbella, you’re going to need a luxury car to get around in. Luckily, Marbella has a host of rental companies who provide its customers with various amazing sports cars – everything from Porsche cars to Lamborghinis. For added glamour, you can even rent your own luxury yacht, complete with staff. These charters will take you out on a stylish cruise and truly are the best way to explore the coastline of the Costa del Sol.
Where to Stay
Marbella has numerous luxury 5-star hotels, many of which are on the Golden Mile, right in the heart of the action. Particularly good hotels include Villa Padierna Palace, who’s celebrity guests have included Michelle Obama. The hotel itself is a pink palace complete with swimming pool and tennis courts and a service that is out of this world. For a more central hotel, Amàre is a 4-star modern and fun hotel located right on the beachfront. Its cool vibe is completed with modern design and a roof top bar where you can watch the sunset every night.
If you’d prefer to stay somewhere more private, there are a number of high-end villas in the area, that come complete with private pools, Wi-Fi and all the amenities you could ask for.
What to Do
Alameda Park is perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of Marbella’s busy beachfront. Built in the 17th Century, this park is filled with a large number of botanical species from around the world and hosts events and markets through the year.
A holiday in Marbella wouldn’t be complete without spending a few days at the beach though, and Marbella has some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. One of the most stunning is Cabopino, which is particularly popular due to its long sandy beaches and crystal waters. Close to the protected sand dunes of Artola and the port of Cabopino, there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby too.
If you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon activity, Club Wellness is a luxury spa that offers the best in body treatments including massages, wraps and facials. It also offers the latest in celebrity detoxes that range from day programmes to longer treatments.
Where to Eat
A luxury trip to Marbella wouldn’t be the same without a visit to the resort’s three Michelin-starred restaurant, Danni Garcia at Puente Romano. Famed for the interesting contrasts of hot and cold in its dishes, expect to try unique dishes with Andalusian drama and flair.
Marcella Club’s MC Beach is attributed with creating some of the best food in town, using the freshest in locally caught seafood and locally-sourced ingredients. The restaurants famous guests include former James Bond actor, Sean Connery.
Where to Drink
The nightlife in Marbella is world-famous, with every club in the area hosting massive summer events with some of the biggest guest DJs from across the globe. Sintilllate are known for hosting the best and biggest events, so be sure to check out what this company is organising and pre-book your tickets before your trip. You may even be able to get a VIP package for the night.
Marbella is also known for its club nights occurring right on the beach. Places like Nikki Beach operate as an exclusive beach club with VIP loungers during the day, but once the sun disappears this beach club turns into a night club that is incredibly popular with locals and visitors alike.
