Throughout the month of October Florida’s Pretty in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Many Florida hotels and spas are going pink to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These seven Florida resorts are joining the fight by sharing proceeds with various breast cancer-related charities and associations.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa has commissioned two “sand artists,” Josh Clyde and John May to build sand sculptures on the property’s sprawling private beach and lobby featuring the Susan G. Komen Ribbon to spread awareness and support for the cause. The artists have donated their time for this initiative and the property is donating $2750 (the original cost of the sculptures) to the Susan G. Komen foundation as result. In addition, for guests who want to help support the cause, they can order a “Pinkarita” (a strawberry margarita made with Tres Agaves Tequila), where $1 per drink will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation throughout October.
