Photo Tours of the Amalfi Coast – The New Vacation

Photo Tours of the Amalfi Coast – The New Vacation

EUROPE, ITALY, LUXURY TRAVEL, TOURS

Everyone goes on vacation. Everyone takes photos on vacation. This is a fact, whether you have a camera phone, the latest DSLR or anything in between. But then you get back home and review the photos you took are you ever disappointed? I know I have been, and I am a photographer. When I used to shoot on film, if I got one good shot out of a roll I was happy. Now with digital, one out of a hundred is a winner. Since you are not paying for film you take more shots, right?

So how do you get better photos more consistently, you ask? Go on a Photo Tour. On a Photo Tour, all your needs are met. You get a hotel, most meals, and all your transportation. You get a photographer to lead you who acts as a guide. They know the area better than you, so there’s no need to stumble around looking for a good shot. Most times the tour includes an editing workshop to help you make the most of the photos you do shoot.

The price is usually good since it’s a package deal, and the tour organizer will know the best places to stay and they get a great rate for you to stay there. As an example, there is a “Photo Tour of the Amalfi Coast” that will happen in September of 2016. They pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel. At the hotel you get breakfast and dinner, and dinner is a 4 course affair, with wine. All of your daily transportation to the shoot locations is taken care of by the tour organizers. They will pick you up at the hotel and bringing you back at days end. A local photographer will act as your guide. They give you tips, answer questions, and take you to the best locations at the best time of day to get the very best shots.

There is a four hour photo editing class included in this trip. After the class you submit your best photo of the week, after you have edited it. That night, you are picked up for a fantastic farewell meal at a 5 star restaurant, wine included (and all this is included in the price of the tour).

Besides seeing the best of the “Amalfi Coast” on this tour, they take you to the Island of Capri, the historic Pompeii, and the town of Sorrento on the other side of the Peninsula. For Capri and Pompeii, an official Government Sponsored Tour Guide is included to make sure you see everything worth seeing and learn about the history of your location. Mixed in with all this touring is some local cheese and wine tasting for a little change of pace.

Beautiful pictures! I loved Sorrento and Positano when I visited. I just wish I had more time to explore the area when I was there!

I felt the same way, we spend two days in Positano and I wish it was a week.
