Flytographer: Professional Vacation Photographers

Flytographer: Professional Vacation Photographers

EUROPE, LIFESTYLE, LONDON

Most travelers like myself normally rely on selfies or strangers to capture those once in a lifetime memories of our vacations from some of the most incredible places around the world. Let’s face it: we aren’t professional photographers and most of the time the pictures don’t come out nearly as good as we would have liked.

Flytographer has come up with a great solution! They connect you with one of their local, talented photographers around the world to take professional, photojournalistic-style vacation photos of you and your travel companions.

Traveling with my family to London, we thought it would be a fun experience and also a great location for a family portrait.

The Flytographer Booking Process

The process is simple, first, you go online and filled out a form to book a timeslot through the Flytographer website. You choose your city, location, date/times and your preferred photographer. You also have the choice to pick from either a 30 minute session “The Short Storyteller” (1 location, 15 photos) $250, a 60 minute session “The Subtle Chronicler” (1-2 locations, 30 photos) $350 or a 90 minute session “The Classic Souvenir” (two locations, 45 digital photos) $500.  We went with the 60 minute session.

Once Flytographer receives your information they will confirm everything with you via email and finalize the little details (what you’re looking for, where to go if you aren’t familiar with the city, their suggestions, etc.). Then Flytographer will send you over to your official SHOOT SCOOP with all the fun details–where, when, your photographer’s name, a photo so you’ll recognize her (or him), their cell number, etc.

The Flytographer Photo Shoot

The day of the shoot we scheduled a meeting place and met our photographer Dan.  I had mentioned that I wanted views of Big Ben, The London Eye, and House of Parliament in the background.  We strolled around as Dan discreetly captured candid pictures of all of us walking. We also did a few posed shots.  We had all eyes upon on us from people walking along.  It felt like we were famous and had the paparazzi on our tails.

Customers receive a complete set of digital images within five days of the meeting.  Once you receive your images you are free to download them, share on social media and do as you wish with your images.

It was certainly one of the best souvenirs I brought home from my trip to London.

Our photo session was based on a 30 minute shoot , but were upgraded to a 60 minute compliments of Flytographer.  Our kids loved their photos so much, they give me permission to use them in our holiday card this year.

It’s a good idea for those who are not good with their cameras, but $350 for a 90 minute session seems very expensive.

      Hi Anda,

I don’t think it’s that expensive. Most of my photographer friends charge anywhere from $175-$200/hour for a photoshoot. My friends also take a minimum of two weeks to turn around and send me the pictures. I got my pictures in three days and they did a great job!

So nice to meet you Carmen and I see that the Flytographer did a great job. I particularly like the first shot of your family on the bridge and the one of you in front of Big Ben
